Indeed approached us to reimagine the brand of their subsidiary, Indeed Flex, a platform built for jobseekers looking for regular temporary work. Flex was growing quickly, but its identity needed to work harder: it had to feel modern and dynamic while staying connected to the strength and global reputation of the parent brand.

Our task was to strike that balance, giving Indeed Flex a distinct, cohesive identity that could stand tall on its own, yet remain instantly recognisable as part of the wider Indeed family.

Overview

Guiding the creation of a vibrant and design-led brand identity.

The project began with research into modern brand identities within the job sector, alongside broader design inspiration to bring fresh thinking into a traditionally conservative space.

Working closely with stakeholders through in-person workshops and weekly presentations, we shaped the direction collaboratively, refining concepts into a clear identity that felt both energetic and credible. I guided the design work from research through to final guidelines and asset delivery, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.

The outcome positioned Indeed Flex as vibrant, dynamic and design-led, capable of standing out while staying true to the Indeed brand.

Key developments included:

  • Expanded colour palette with bright, energetic tones to emphasise key messages.

  • Motion and animation through flowing 3D graphics to add rhythm and energy.

  • Graphic motifs designed and refined for consistency across touchpoints.

  • Typography updates to complement “Indeed Flex Sans” and give greater emphasis and expression.

B2C guidelines & assets

Creating a lively identity for jobseekers wanting choice and control.

For the consumer brand, the focus was on energy, colour, and motion, creating an identity that resonated with younger, on-the-go audiences while staying approachable and modern.

Design highlights included:

  • Overlapping text and imagery to place people at the centre

  • Abstract frames to emphasise Flex’s people-first approach

  • Pill shapes, icons, and glassmorphic effects to underline its digital-first nature

  • Conversational tone of voice to keep messaging positive and supportive

A complete toolkit was built to support launch and growth, with 50+ branded assets spanning campaigns, social, e-books, and templates. Detailed guidelines ensured consistency across motifs and applications, while leaving room for creative freedom.

B2b guidelines & system

Adapting the identity for professionalism, trust and credibility.

For business audiences, the identity was tailored to project reliability and prestige, while still feeling connected to the consumer-facing brand.

Key refinements included:

  • Richer, darker colour palette to communicate professionalism.

  • Evolved frame motifs to spotlight features, benefits and statistics.

  • Technical hatchings to suggest precision and attention to detail, aligning with business values.

B2b assets

Balancing clarity and impact for professional communication.

For the B2B rollout, assets such as e-books, white papers and sales guides were designed to balance clarity with distinctiveness. Graphic elements and colour were applied selectively to emphasise statistics and features, keeping the materials professional yet visually engaging.

Delivering a brand system that is cohesive, flexible and engaging across every touchpoint.

The final identity was comprehensive and adaptable, able to roll out seamlessly across B2C and B2B environments.

Both the Shoreditch Design and Indeed teams were delighted with the result. The new identity captured vibrancy and energy for jobseekers, while projecting credibility and trust for businesses. The outcome was a refined and impactful brand system that gave Indeed Flex a confident presence in a highly competitive market.
