Gremlin MaskThe tiny Mogwai looked around in wonder at all of the gremlins that were wandering the streets. He had never seen so many of them before. But what really got to him was that there were tall ones, short ones, big ones and small ones.

Many of them looked like they were wearing a Gremlin mask. Gizmo knew that wasn’t possible though. Because who would want to look like the bad gremlins when they could look cute and furry like him.

Even with his thick fur the little Mogwai shivered as he scurried along the tree lined streets of Timmy’s neighborhood.  The wind had picked up since he had snuck out of Timmy’s bedroom to go and find some candy.

He loved candy and Timmy usually wouldn’t let him have any. Gizmo dodged another of those tall creatures in the Gremlin mask because they made him nervous. If they were pretending to be gremlins to take over the town Timmy needed to know about it.

Gizmo jumped into the pile of fall leaves that Timmy had raked up under his window just yesterday then burrowed under until he found the little spot he could climbGremlin Mask back up and into Timmy’s window.

Timmy was nowhere to be seen so Gizmo jumped up on the dresser and started looking around for a scrap of paper that would tell him where Timmy had gone. He always left notes for his mom on his dresser. He needed to be warned.

Gizmo knew that the people in the Gremlin mask would love nothing more than to get ahold of Timmy because he knew so many things about Gizmo and the gremlins.

Gizmo stomped his little foot when he couldn’t find a note to see where Timmy was. He couldn’t talk to him in Timmy’s language but somehow Timmy always seemed to understand what he was saying.

Gizmo hopped back down and went over to climb up in the window and see if he could see Timmy coming down the street. All he saw were the Gremlin mask people everywhere. They were all in the streets and up on the curb and one of them was now heading towards the front door of the house. Gizmo jumped down from the window then stopped. That gremlin was too big for him to fight and it was very scary.

The Gremlin mask it had welded to its real face was green and black with ears that were pointy and stuck straight out of its head. It also had a point at the top and red blowing eyes. Gizmo shivered as the thing used a key to get in and scampered back up the stairs. The gremlin followed him and took its mask off. Timmy laughed and hugged Gizmo as he explained what Halloween was. Gizmo was happy but still in a huff thinking about all those gremlins out there. But what really made the little Mogwai mad was the fact that he hadn’t even gotten any candy!
